IFK Kristianstad 2 continued to A-Slutspel after reaching 3:rd place in Group 1. In the playoff they made it to Semi final, but lost it against SG Flensburg Handewitt 2 with 6-9. In the Final, SG Flensburg Handewitt 1 won over SG Flensburg Handewitt 2 and became the winner of A-Slutspel in Elit Herr. IFK Kristianstad also participated in Elit Herr during Åhus Beachhandboll Festival 2016.
