In addition to the 6 IFK Kristianstad teams, 72 other teams played in Pojkar 2002 B2. They were divided into 8 different groups, whereof IFK Kristianstad 3 could be found in Group 7 together with Vinslövs HK, Tyresö Handboll, Svedala HK, Ystads IF HF 1, HK Eklöven, Uppsala HK 1, HK Guldkroken Hjo and Eslövs HF 2.
IFK Kristianstad 3 continued to A-Slutspel after reaching 4:th place in Group 7. In the playoff they made it to 1/16 Final, but lost it against Kävlinge HK with 12-13. In the Final, LVHK Lödde 1 won over HK Silwing/Troja Sthlm and became the winner of A-Slutspel in Pojkar 2002 B2. IFK Kristianstad also participated in Pojkar 2002 B1 during Åhus Beachhandboll Festival 2016.
