Åhus Handboll made it to A-Slutspel after reaching 7:th place in Group 1. Once in the playoff they won every match inluding the Final against Team Esbjerg HK 2, which they won with 10-9. Thereby Åhus Handboll won the entire A-Slutspel in Elit Dam during Åhus Beachhandboll Festival 2017. Åhus Handboll also participated in Elit Dam during Åhus Beachhandboll Festival 2016.
