In addition to the two Uppsala teams, 28 other teams played in Pojkar 2001. They were divided into 3 different groups, whereof Uppsala HK 1 could be found in Group 1 together with Halmstad Handboll 1, Mönsterås HK 2, H43 Lund HF Blå, Borlänge HK, Åhus Handboll Blå2, IK Sävehof Allstars, IK Bolton 1, IFK Kristianstad 1 and HK Ankaret.

Uppsala HK 1 continued to A-Slutspel after reaching 5:th place in Group 1. In the playoff they made it to 1/8 Final, but lost it against Halmstad Handboll 1 with 5-6. In the Final, IFK Kristianstad 2 won over IK Sävehof Allstars and became the winner of A-Slutspel in Pojkar 2001.

Uppsala HK also participated in Pojkar 2001 during Åhus Beachhandboll Festival 2018. They reached the 1/8 Final in P01 A-Slutspel, but lost it against HK Aranäs with 5-9.
