In addition to the 7 IFK Kristianstad teams, 63 other teams played in Pojkar 2003 B1. They were divided into 7 different groups, whereof IFK Kristianstad 1 could be found in Group 1 together with Alingsås HK 2, HK Aranäs Kungsbacka 2, Karlskrona Handboll 1, IF Guif Eskilstuna 2, IK Lågan Hörby 1, HK Cliff, Eslövs HF 4, Åhus Handboll 2 and Lugi HF 1.
IFK Kristianstad 1 made it to A-Slutspel after reaching 1:st place in Group 1. Once in the playoff they made it all the way to the Final, but lost it against HK Aranäs Kungsbacka 1 with 7-10. Thereby IFK Kristianstad 1 finished second in P03 A-Slutspel during Åhus Beachhandboll Festival 2017. IFK Kristianstad also participated in Pojkar 2003 C2 during Åhus Beachhandboll Festival 2016.
