In addition to the three Åhus teams, 75 other teams played in Pojkar 2002 B2. They were divided into 8 different groups, whereof Åhus Handboll 1 could be found in Group 3 together with Rimbo HK Roslagen, IK Sävehof Partille, HK Aranäs Kungsbacka 1, HK Silwing/Troja Sthlm, LVHK Lödde 1, IF Malmö Redhawks, Ljunghusens HK 2 and Kävlinge HK.

Åhus Handboll 1 continued to B-Slutspel after reaching 6:th place in Group 3. In the playoff they made it to 1/4 Final, but lost it against Trelleborg HBK 1 with 9-13. In the Final, Rimbo HK Roslagen won over HK Aranäs Kungsbacka 1 and became the winner of B-Slutspel in Pojkar 2002 B2.

Åhus Handboll also participated in Pojkar 2002 B1 during Åhus Beachhandboll Festival 2016. They reached the 1/8 Final in P02 A-Slutspel, but lost it against Kristianstad HK 1 with 10-11.
