In addition to the three Åhus teams, 67 other teams played in Pojkar 2003 B1. They were divided into 7 different groups, whereof Åhus Handboll 1 could be found in Group 3 together with Eslövs HF 3, HK Hylte, IFK Kristianstad 3, H 78 Sölvesborg 2, IFK Tumba Sthlm 1, Önnereds HK Gbg Lag 1, H43 Lund 2, Borlänge HK and Eksjö BK P-03.

Åhus Handboll 1 continued to A-Slutspel after reaching 2:nd place in Group 3. In the playoff they made it to 1/8 Final, but lost it against Eslövs HF 2 with 5-8. In the Final, HK Aranäs Kungsbacka 1 won over IFK Kristianstad 1 and became the winner of A-Slutspel in Pojkar 2003 B1.

Åhus Handboll also participated in Pojkar 2003 C2 during Åhus Beachhandboll Festival 2016. They reached the 1/8 Final in P03 A-Slutspel, but lost it against Kävlinge HK 2 with 9-10.
